Letter of Welcome from the Pastor

20150704_115900Dear web-browser, church-shopper, spirit-seeker, or other visitor to this website,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We have this website with useful information, and we have a really nice building.  But we’re out and about too.  Anywhere the Spirit sends us in the world, you are welcome to join us.  Even if it’s just for Sunday morning worship on the corner of Hammond and Mitchell.

What do I mean by that? We do not see you as a means to an end. We do not see you for your money, the attendance numbers, or the bragging rights.

We see you as a human being with dignity, a beloved child of God, and a blessing. And we want to be a blessing to you.

You don’t have to become a member, you don’t have to promise to come to worship every week (to be honest, we don’t either), and you don’t have to pay a fee/fine/membership due.

We want to see your lovely face, hear your voice- speaking and singing, wrestle with your questions, hear your thoughts, help you discern your calling, and empower the heck out of you for the mission of God in the world.

Sound good?  We hope to see you soon.

With gratitude,

Rev. Christine Kaplunas
